Project New Home – New Beginning

We have asked our European leadership in Geneva for approval of a contribution from the Fund to cover the consequences of natural disasters for our project New Home – New Beginning. Our application was approved and as of December 23th, 2024 we received the amount of EUR 4.800 (approx. CZK 117.280). We have decided to increase this amount by CZK 60.000 and send the total amount of CZK 177.300 by donation contract to Mrs. Hermová, who lost her house and all her property in the floods in 2024. Mrs. Hermová is the foster mother of 3 girls and they are currently dependent on alternative accommodation.

We will monitor the use of the amount and the timetable in cooperation with the City Hall in Ostrava and will also inform the Headquarter of SI Europe about it. We are also planning a personal visit to the affected area.

We donate to those in need

Our annual social event "A Glass of Wine", held on November 27th, 2024 with dear guests actress M. Steinmasslová and choreographer Z. Prokeš, brought us not only a pleasant evening, but also financial profit, which we decided to donate to 2 places - traditionally to our friendly institution ACORUS in the amount of CZK 36.550, and to Mrs. Babinská, whose house was severely damaged by the floods in September 2024, in the amount of CZK 36.200. We wish both of them good use.
